Wouldnt you like to live here? MINIGAME: Try to find the flower!
Why "The Final Dream"? Its has a very deep personal meaning for me, but it is marking the end of an stage of my deviantART life and Artist life, and with it another milestone will be achieved on my artistic life wich involves only digital Art. I spend 2 months overrall on drawing my piece, i wanted my most important drawing until here to be very special! It marks my return for good!
All the work here is done by Ballpoint Pens (crosshatching) and Colour Pencils, with the exception of the Sky that is done with Digital media because i wanted to mix everything i know into one single drawing! And here is the result of my art experience. I hope you can identify all the aspects of it!
Where did i got this inspiration? Part the intention was born as the result of my discovery of how real life is, my moments of self-discovery, and my return to dA (the second-life i missed), the other half of the part is the "final dream" part of it. Wich will remain as a secret.
Thanks for reading! I would apreciatte if you coment! I will reply. ^^
First off, let me say that I think you really delivered with your full potential on this one. You continue to have daring and vivid surreal concepts that look divine or like they belong from another world altogether, and they are a pleasure to look at.
After studying this picture for a few minutes, there isn't anything I can really criticize in the technical fields of this. In all the media that you used, you kept contrast and good shading quality consistent throughout the piece. Your work in pen gives off nice shadows, the colored pencil gives for some interesting light effects and the digital is not too distracting from the traditional, it blends in to the scene quite well. The composition is feels complete and nicely arranged, there's not too much color nor too little, some of the gear measurements are off but that's definitely natural.
Anyway, I'm going to stop there. It is a beautiful work and very well done.
I like the way you used the colors on the mosaic-like wall on the background left. The clouds on the sky are convincing; reminiscent of fantasy games. I guess there is that FF look on them! Your inspiration on the gears is OK, but for me, gears kind of represent work rather than self-discovery. Mirrors, reflections and WordArt suit best for that. It looks like your return to dA was all worthwhile!
You are right about Gears relation with hard work! I have to work harder in oder to acomplish what i really want. It wa spart of my self-realization. had to explain it on a very big message that will result as a wall of text, lol. But in fact: I apreciatte what you said! I hope that my return has been forever! Hehehe
There is this wonderful book called: "La Magia de M.C. Escher". It could be useful for those mosaic stones on the background. For a moment, the old man Escher's techniques are what I saw in you and your dedication on the separation of lines could be part of your own style. I will keep discovering new things from your art.
